The type of bedding you choose can also influence the comfort of your guests. For my room I chose a neutral color palette for the bedding to ensure that any guest would feel relaxed and at home. - Jenn from The Home Decorating Company

We entertain out of town guests quite often and to make them feel special I purchase mini chocolates and leave a couple on the pillows. We also puchase different coffee flavours (comes in bottles and can be kept for months) from Starbucks. My guests go to bed and wake up feeling special. - Marilyn LaPlante

Hi Irene:

For guest suitcases I use an antique laundry bench that collapses and slides under the bed for easy storage. When children visit it's good planning to have a few pullups or diapers so there are no last minute late night runs to the corner store. A good "rubber sheet" is also a good idea for kids' beds - a big relief for their parents if there's a wet bed. I also keep a good stock of feminine personal hygiene products. Guests love a proactive approach.

A Murphy bed is a godsend in a condominium apartment. The guests get a "real" bed with a quality matress and I get a a lot of floor space when no one stays. - Daria Danko
